I was flipping through a copy of Cote Paris magazine today while watching my friends Diana and Scott Cooper's French antiques showroom, Trianon, oogling and cooing over the great design and chic spaces. I went to the mag's website to find some photos I wanted to share, and instead came across this photo story entitled "Le Nouveau Style Paris Chic" loosely meaning "The New Smart Paris Style". And it is. I think this apartment captures a little touch of the Belgian style that is so hot here right now. The photo shoot is about eighteen months old, which makes sense, it takes a while for trends to get here sometimes.
How beautiful is this salon? I love everything, except perhaps the sofa, But oh, the different gray tones, purple linens and striped drapes are just to die for! This is a look that makes me want to run out and redecorate!
And more views of the salon.
What do you think of the plain purple framed pieces. An inexpensive way to cover a wall, to be sure.
A curved hallway with gorgeous blue walls and black painted trim and doors. And, note the little touch of pink peeping out at the end of the hall - beckoning you on...
And the payoff. After the toned down softness of the grays, purples, blues and blacks, this pink bedroom is like a warm breeze. The grays are carried in with the linen slip covered chair, lamp shade and fireplace. The dark painted floor grounds the space or else it might float away! Ethereal is the word that comes to mind!
Heading out to the balcony with terracotta tile floor and an amazing view!
Here are some more shots of the apartment. Don't you love the simplicity of this WC? Just the simple basket is so pretty and chic!
And, I'm loving the over scale flower peaking out from the top of the stairs.
The text on this door reads "Suite Privée". How beautiful is the wrought iron railing?!?
A little glimpse of what lies beyond the wrought iron railing:
And, after that lead in, we have a calm room, with an unexpected snap of orange that almost acts like a refreshing sorbet.
Anyone care to redecorate with me? Photography by Christophe Dugied via Cotemaison.fr
